Spatial Audio Examples
Examples of VOCAL’s 3D Spatial Audio library in action are shown below. Each example consists of two files, the first containing mono audio and the second containing binaural or stereo audio. The binaural audio streams were obtained by using VOCAL’s 3D Spatial Audio library to process the mono audio streams. The binaural audio files are best experienced using headphones.
A diagram is included with each pair of audio files. The diagrams show 8 directions, denoted by tick marks, evenly spaced around the listener’s head. Those positions are labeled with numbers 1 through N indicating which direction the N utterances are spoken from in order.
1. A woman positioned to the left of the listener and a man positioned to the right take turns speaking.
