Palo Alto, Calif., March 27, 2000 + DSP core developer BOPS Inc. and VOCAL Technologies Ltd., a software system solutions provider, are pleased to announce the formation of a strategic alliance and an intent to license BOPS DSP Technology for the development of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions for high-volume, high density, low-cost access equipment as well as low bit rate digital video solutions.  Included in the development for the BOPS architecture will be VOCAL?s support for all the common G-series and GSM vocoders, FAX over IP (T.37/T.38), RAS modem servers through V.90/V.92 and Point of Sale (POS) protocols.  Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but future announcements will be made pertaining to standard system-on-chip (SOC) products resulting from the alliance.
